October 27, 2012 jobs to consider

Program Coordinator, LGBT Center, Duke University

Here is the Center website.  Here is Duke's anti-discrimination policy.  It was not difficult to find.
Duke University is committed to encouraging and sustaining a learning and work community that is free from prohibited discrimination and harassment. The university prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex, genetic information, or age in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid, employment, or any other university program or activity. The university also makes good faith efforts to recruit, employ and promote qualified minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, and veterans. It admits qualified students to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students.
However, North Carolina restricts marriage to one man, one woman:

State law and/or constitutional provision limits marriage to relationships between a man and a woman:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
Director of Multicultural Affairs, Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida

There is no LGBT center.  There is an LGBT Resources webpage that is part of the multicultural affairs website.  Florida limits marriage to one man, one woman.

Research Analyst, Washburn University

Adjunct Instructor for Educational Leadership Policy and Foundations, 56629, UMKC

Assistant Professor, Human Rights Education, University of San Francisco

USF is a Catholic, Jesuit, urban university.  Interesting!  Here is their non-discrimination policy:
Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy
The University is an equal opportunity institution of higher learning education. As a matter of policy, the University does not discriminate in employment, educational services, and academic programs on the basis of an individual's race, color, religion, religious creed, ancestry, national origin, age (except minors), sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, medical condition (cancer-related and genetic-related), and disability, and on other bases prohibited by law. The University reasonably accommodates qualified individuals with disabilities under the law.
There are courses listed on LGBT cinema and there are news stories about LGBT alumni, but no LGBT Center.  USF does not seem to be a member of the Consortium for Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals.

Assistant/Associate Professor, Open Faculty Search, School of Teaching & Learning, Ohio State University

Ohio State University includes sexual orientation and gender identity in its non-discrimination statement.  In addition, there are several AERA colleagues at OSU and others in the state.  Ohio limits marriage to one man, one woman.

Director of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Center, Ohio University, Athens, OH

Ohio University includes sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression in its non-discrimination statement.  The LGBT Center is well-established.  They want more experience than I currently have; but this position has a focus on teaching and curricular development that you don't find in some of these positions.
